Something of a guerrilla bohemian / freeloader in those days, Thomas was fortunate to find recognition for this work and was given use of the facilities at the Parsons School of Design in Paris. He went on to formally study photography at the New England School of Photography (NESOP) and the University of Massachusetts.
Thomas has worked with a wide variety of models and organizations in the Pacific Northwest and New England.
Employing many different tools and technologies to achieve his stylistic goals, Thomas uses natural and studio lighting as well as both film and digital cameras. These run the gamut from 1950's fully-mechanical cameras to plastic "toy" cameras and modern digital SLR's. His work utilizes both digital processing and traditional darkroom techniques.
When not behind the camera, Thomas can be found traveling, snowboarding or designing software. In addition to creating the software that drives this website (as well as quite a few others), Thomas works for an innovative tech company in Seattle.

This hanko, or signature seal, was designed for Thomas by calligrapher Eri Takase.
Traditional hanko read from right to left, top to bottom, and use the archaic forms of Chinese characters. The top-right character is the family name "Park". Below it is "toh" (light), an abbreviation for Thomas's given name.
The seal fully translates as "House of Park" and is sometimes affixed to the back of Thomas's printed works (or, by request, the front).
